In order to install Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 on your Nexus S 4G, carry out the following steps:

  1. Download the latest build (IMM76Drelease-keys.zip).
  2. Now unzip the build.
  3. Now we would have to install the Nexus S 4G drivers. You can download these drivers from here.
  4. Now download Odin. After you have downloaded it, unzip and run it.
  5. After you have installed Odin, power off Nexus S 4G and put it into “Download Mode”. You can put it in download mode by holding the Volume Up and Volume Down and then pressing the Power button.
  6. Now connect your Nexus S 4G with a PC. Odin will recognize this.
  7. Make sure to fill the first box with “0:[COM#]“.
  8. Now Click Bootloader, followed by SPH-D720_IMM76D_KE1_BOOTLOAD_signed.tar.
  9. Select PDA and select SPH-D720_IMM76D_PDA_signed.tar. At the end of click Phone and then select SPH-D720_IMM76D_LC1_Modem_signed.tar. Now press Start.
  10. This will now finally reboot the  Nexus S 4G. Once its starts again, you will have  Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 on your device.
