How to Get Notifications for Messages Stashed in Your Facebook “Other” Inbox

Most recently we discovered a “secret” inbox on Facebook that doesn’t let you know when you have new messages. Well the good news is the trick shared in this article will fix some of the problems and you will be notified on new messages.

The key idea is to transfer messages from your secret or other inbox to your regular inbox. Facebook doesn’t do this automatically for all messages so you may have to check your other inbox from time to time.  This is very helpful for important conversations especially since you won’t have to remember the inbox where your important messages are saved.

Follow the steps below to receive notification for the messages stashed in your other inbox:

1. Go to your “secret” inbox. It is also known by the name of “Other Messages“.
2. Find a conversation for which you want to receive notifications.
3. Click on “Actions” button
4. Click ”Move to Messages”.

From now onward, that conversation or thread with will in your normal inbox and you will receive normal notifications.
