How to Install / Flash Android 4.0.3 ICS On Galaxy Tab 8.9
The stable release of Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 8.9 has still not hit the market. However, there is an unofficial and shaky build of Android 4.0.3 ICS has been out there for quite some time. In this article, we have furnish a comprehensive guide on how to install Android 4.0.3 for you.

The unofficial ROM is a little bit shaky to work as the camera, 3G, HD videos and voice search does not work at the present. You should ensure that your Galaxy Tab 8.9 is rooted and that you have flashed ClockworkMod Recovery before starting. You may start following the procedure once you have gone though the basics.
Step 1: Download the following files:
- Android 4.0.3 ICS for Galaxy Tab 8.9 (MultiUpload)
- ICS Google Apps (MultiUpload)
Send the files under the /sdcard directory on your Galaxy Tab 8.9’s internal storage.
Step 2: Tap to Recovery to boot into ClockworkMod Recovery from ROM Manager. If the following method fails to work, then you need to shut down your device and press and hold a particular combination of buttons to boot into ClockworkMod.
Step 3: Select wipe data / factory reset from the ClockworkMod Recovery. Then from advanced, select wipe Dalvik cache, and wipe cache.
Step 4: Now we will try to flash the ROM itself. Navigate to install zip from sdcard and then select zip from sdcard > icyxmas.p5wifi.cwm.alpha1.1.zip. After flashing, select flash icygappsv2.zip.
Step 5: Now select reboot system from the main menu,.
If you have followed the steps correctly you will be able to boot Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich on your Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Step 6: Download a CPU control app such as SetCPU and install it. You can select between Basic CPU control or Antuantu and set them to interactive governor.
