How To Use iOS 5 AirPlay Mirroring To Mirror FaceTime Calls From iPad 2 To Apple TV

Before you get started, you need to get your UDIDs registered with Apple. The devices will not activate unless you have your UDIDs registered properly.

  1. Use iTunes 10.5 beta 3 to install iOS 5 beta 3 on your iPad 2.
  2. Get iOS 5 beta installed on your Apple TV. Use the micro USB cable to tether it to your computer. It is always recommended to use Xcode.
  3. Use the same Wi-Fi network for both the devices.
  4. Start the FaceTime on your iPad 2 or you can always wait for someone to call you on your FaceTime.
  5. Go to the Fast App Switcher by double clicking the Home button.
  6. Get to the Airplay button after swiping from left to right.
  7. Tap on the tab AirPlay and choose the source as Apple TV.
  8. Swipe the mirroring from off to on.
